maggie mackenzie is a georgia-based fine artist who is rediscovering her love of art and painting. she has a bachelor of fine arts from the lamar dodd school of art at the university of georgia. she pivoted to a career in medicine and until recently was working as a family nurse practitioner. as a way to recenter herself, she broke out the paints and has been creating in her laundry-room studio. her love of travel, color, and quiet surprises in nature inspire her organic, impressionistic landscapes. she enjoys cooking and baking, floral arranging, her book club, and living life to the full with her husband, son, and daughter.
